Year end post coming soon.
Here’s to 2012.
I met Duran Laframbois while I was walking around Ballard, WA.
He is a meek soul, and does not seem to care he lives inside a bus.
Duran’s bus mural is a creation from R. Henry, he is a local artist.
I was able to learn about Duran in the little time that I knew him.
He is a good man. He is a man of humility. He is a man of worth.
Duran once spent a year without speaking as just to prove a point.
He refuses to accept money for the many skills that he possesses.
Duran works for trade.
His skills and abilities; for the essentials of life.
“There is no such thing as money, One should work with what they have.”
- the Summer of 2011
Every year they gather to celebrate.
To celebrate the birth of this woman.
She is Grandma, Marilyn Chapman.
I shot my own family, using a tripod.
They have put up with me for 22 years.
I can say I love every single 1 of them.
This New Year I’m grateful for family.
I went to see the Grotto.
In Payson Canyon.

My Grandmother Donna Luasene.
While in Bear Lake I ran into this adorable girl.
She then insisted I follow her to her brother.
She introduced me to her grandfather as well.
Both children had just barely finished bathing.
This did not stop them from enjoying the water.
A quick walk around the block.
Bridals in under an hour.
Speed is essential.
It was cold.

This is Portra 400VC Redscaled.
Redscalling film is where you expose the reverse side of the film emulsion.
In order to do this you need to use 220 film loaded backwards or
physically switch 120 film inside of a dark room/bag.
Any questions reguarding this process?

Assisted Jonathan with a last minute bridal session at Thanksgiving Point.
These are what I was able to get in the mayhem.

All shot on Ektar 100, exposed bulb in meter held perpendicular.

A recent trip to St. George brought us all to Snow Canyon.
Shot mainly on Redscaled film. This is when you take a normal
roll of film and film the emulsion so that the red sensitive side
of the film is exposed first. You can expose anywhere from 50-400 ISO.
Depending on how blue/green/red you want the image.
